FAQs
- Brow Aftercare Instructions
For the next 7 -14 days follow these aftercare instructions.
- Gently clean the treated area with mild soap or Aftercare Wash provided to you
by your technician 3x within the first 24 hrs and follow that with the ointment also
provided.
- Do not touch the area with your fingers
Avoid wetting the brows between washes
- Do not apply makeup directly on the brows during healing process.
After the initial 24 hours, you can stop the wash and continue using the ointment
2x per day. Apply a thin layer, like a rice grain amount.
Continue using the ointment until the scabs have fallen off on their own.
- Do not tint brows, use the pool, sunbathe, or perform any exercise or do activities
that will make you sweat.
Keep soap, steam, or sweat away from the procedure area until the area is
completely healed- Do not touch, rub, pick or scratch your brows following treatment or during
healing process. - Do not use any skin care products directly on the eyebrows and completely avoid products that contain Retinol, Glycolic, AHA's, Vitamin A, Hyaluronic Acid, or any antiaging products or lightening serums around or above the brows.
- No botox or facial fillers above the brows between your touchups, otherwise you
will have to wait 2-3 months before a touchup can be done. - Sleep on a CLEAN pillowcase and clean sheets while the procedure area is
healing. - ALL procedures must HEAL, PEEL, and FADE! This process may take up to 14
days.
When all the scabs fall off, the brows will appear lighter for a few days and the
skin underneath may appear pale, THIS IS NORMAL. Color returns to normal
and pigment will be visibly darker as the days go by and up to the day of the
touchup.
- The initial touchup visit should be scheduled 4-6 weeks post procedure. All PMU procedures require a touchup. For most clients, a touchup is all that's needed. However, some clients may need a 3rd session if they came in for a color or shape correction, if they bleed during their procedures, have oily skin, or use
Retinol or lightening products that affect their retention. The touchup and 3rd
session are priced based on the procedure/technique requested.
Lip Blushing Aftercare
If you have ever had chicken pox, a fever blister, or a cold sore, you must take an
anti -viral medication before and after procedure to prevent the outbreak of cold
sores. (The most common found are Acyclovir, Famvir or Valtrex ). Failure to do
so may prevent you from healing normally and pain free. Cold sore breakouts will
also affect your color retention. Lysine also helps suppress the herpetic outbreaks.
Keep the area clean to help prevent infection and ensure proper healing.
Gently clean the area with mild soap and water 3x within the first 24 hrs and
follow that with the ointment provided by your technician.
Use the ointment provided to you after your procedure for at least 2 weeks post
procedure.
Drink through a straw for the first few days. Do not eat citrus fruits and juices,
greasy, salty, oily or spicy foods until your lips are completely healed.
While eating, do not constantly wipe your lips with a napkin or keep licking your
lips as this will impede the healing process.
DO NOT PICK the scabs off otherwise you will remove the pigment color.
Be careful when brushing your teeth. Toothpaste may pull the pigment out of the
lip vermilion.
Do not bleach your teeth or have dental procedures while your lips are healing.
Using products with Lidocaine in them will help to soothe the 'chapped' feeling.
No smoking while lips are healing.
No kissing or Oral Sex until the area is totally healed.
Avoid Lip Fillers/Injections 2 months before and 2 months after your procedure.
Avoid exposing the treated area to direct sunlight or tanning beds for at least two
weeks after the procedure. Sun exposure can cause the pigment to fade or
become discolored.
Avoid strenuous activities that may cause sweating or irritation to the treated
area, such as exercise or hot showers, for at least a few days after the
procedure.
Avoid wearing makeup on the treated area for at least a few days after the
procedure. If you must wear makeup, be sure to use a gentle, oil-free formula
and avoid rubbing or scratching the area.
After the second week, the color may disappear as if you never had the
procedure done. However, the color comes back through after your 4th week.
The lip color will gain color as the day go by. Initial touchups are done after 6-8
weeks.

SCALP MICROPIGMENTATION (SMP) AFTERCARE
After SMP treatment, do not wet your hair or head. For example, you should avoid
activities that cause sweating, like exercise, the gym, saunas, and swimming.
Each tattoed hair follicle is like a small open wound to the skin. SMP heals in 5 to 7 days.
Redness and irritation are normal for 1 to 3 days. A scab heals over the wound, and
eventually falls away. The scabbing process typically is 5 to 7 days, but for some it can
last up to 14 days.
Avoid power showers. You can shave your head with an electric foil shaver, but be
careful not to remove any scabs. Avoid the Sun at all times!
Scar Camouflage Aftercare
- Please read and follow all instructions carefully.
- Proper aftercare is essential for optimal healing, pigment retention, and final results. Healing varies from person to person and may take several weeks depending on the size and location of the treated area. Immediately After Your Procedure * Mild redness, swelling, tenderness, or sensitivity is normal for the first few days. * The treated area may appear darker, warmer, or more noticeable immediately after treatment. This is temporary. * Keep the area clean, dry, and protected during the healing process. First 7–14 Days
- DO: Wash hands before touching the treated area. * Gently cleanse the area with mild soap and water if instructed by your provider. * Pat dry with a clean towel — do not rub. * Apply Aquaphore aftercare product sparingly, only if advised. * Wear loose, breathable clothing over the area when possible. Stay hydrated and maintain healthy skin care habits.
DO NOT: Scratch, pick, peel, or exfoliate the area. * Apply lotions, oils, self-tanner, acids, retinoids, or active skincare products unless approved. * Soak the area in pools, hot tubs, baths, oceans, or saunas. * Engage in excessive sweating, intense workouts, or activities that cause friction on the area for 7–10 days. * Expose the treated area to direct sunlight or tanning. * Shave or wax directly over the treated area while healing.
- Healing Process* Flaking, dryness, itching, or slight scabbing may occur and is normal. * Pigment may appear uneven, too light, or too dark during healing. * Results soften as the skin heals over the next 4–8 weeks. * Multiple sessions are often required to achieve desired results due to skin type, scar tissue, and individual healing response. Long-Term Care Always use SPF on healed areas exposed to sunlight to help preserve results. * Avoid excessive tanning, as it may affect pigment longevity and color matching. * Keep the skin moisturized and healthy for best long-term results.
- Important InformationScar tissue heals differently than normal skin. Retention and results cannot be guaranteed and may vary based on:
- Scar age and texture
- Skin type and undertones
- Sun exposure
