MEET YOUR EDUCATOR
Suzie Villanueva (Hernandez) is the founder and lead educator of VillaNu Beauty Academy, bringing over a decade of experience in the Permanent Makeup and Paramedical Cosmetics industry. Since beginning her career in 2014, she has built a reputation for excellence, artistry, and a commitment to changing lives through cosmetic tattooing.
In 2020, Suzie launched her Training Academy with a vision of raising the standard of PMU education through comprehensive, hands-on instruction and personalized mentorship. In 2021, she opened her own studio and academy, where she has since trained numerous students to build successful careers in the beauty industry. As the author of both the English and Spanish curricula for all of her courses, Suzie personally teaches every in-person class, ensuring that each student receives the highest level of education and support.
Believing that quality education should never be rushed, Suzie intentionally keeps her class sizes small to provide individualized attention and one-on-one guidance throughout each training experience. Her passion for education and dedication to student success have made VillaNu Beauty Academy a trusted destination for aspiring PMU artists.
In recognition of her contributions to the industry, Suzie was honored with the Beauty Boss Award at the PMU World Conference in 2024. With a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, an MBA in Human Resources, and a lifelong passion for learning, she combines business expertise with advanced technical knowledge to empower the next generation of Permanent Makeup and Paramedical Cosmetic professionals.
In our Beginner Lip Blushing course, students learn the fundamentals of permanent makeup, also known as PMU. This course covers Cross Contamination and Infection Control, Anatomy of the Skin, Color Theory, Client Screening and Contraindications, Lip Mapping, Shading Techniques, and Needle Configurations. Every student receives a kit with enough supplies to do over 10 procedures. Students get hands-on experience and get to work on 1-2 Lip models. This class is private or semi-private, with a maximum of 3 students at a time. Upon completion of the course, students are allowed to return for an 8-hour apprenticeship to job shadow our Master Trainer. At VillaNu Beauty, every student gets a professional photo shoot during their training which can be used as content on all their Social Platforms. Students have access to our Social Media workshop once a quarter. Once licensed, students are given priority for chair rentals to book their own clients at the shop.
