Frequently Asked Questions

General Questions

What do I need to do before booking an appointment?

Before booking an appointment, you'll need to reach out to the beauty professional you want to schedule with. Our staff are all Independent business owners and run their own books. Most of them require a consultation in person for previous permanent makeup or work done elsewhere. A consultation can be done by phone.  If you do not have previous work done, reach out to a professional to book. Once you are ready to book a procedure, a deposit may be required to hold an appointment time. Once you book an appointment, our scheduling system will send you an email or text confirming your appointment and include the prep info for your procedure.

Do you require a deposit?

Yes, all procedures require a deposit to guarantee your appointment. Until the deposit is received, (either online, in person, or paid by invoice), the appointment is not booked and otherwise available for anyone else to book

Do you do corrections?

Yes. We do brow corrections. However, a consultation is required before booking an appointment. For most cases, corrections and coverups require more than 2 sessions It is important that you have realistic expectations of what your final outcome will be. If you have a solid brow tattoo and want your brows to "look natural," please keep in

mind that a natural look is impossible when trying to correct an old tattoo that is still solid and dark. We can also not correct an old brow tattoo with visible scar tissue. Please schedule a consultation in person for better assessment of your previous work

Do you remove old brow tattoo?

Yes, we provide body and permanent makeup removals. The treatment requires a series of sessions using a Laser Tattoo Removal Device that helps dissolve and eliminate the old pigment. This process is repeated every 4-6 weeks for a minimum of 5-6 sessions. Removals are not guaranteed. There are many factors that contribute to the outcome, including how long ago the old brow tattoo was done, as well as the type of ink/pigment used. Laser removals do not remove any pigment that contains white ink.

Can I schedule a touchup with you if I had my brows done somewhere else?

Yes, you can schedule your procedure with us, however if you are a new client to us, you will be required to pay the new client fees like anyone else. Touchup prices listed apply only to returning clients.

What does the aftercare consist of?

DO NOT:

  • Pick or scratch the brows

  • Apply makeup on the brows

  • Wet the brows in the shower

  • Use harsh products like glycolic acids, retinol, or salicylic acid

  • Exercise the first week

  • Expose the brows to the sun

  • Swim in a pool or the ocean

  • Apply anything on the brows that was not given to you in your aftercare instructions

Ensure to follow the aftercare instructions given to you at your appointment. Remember, you can leave with awesome brows, but everyone heals differently. The way you take care of them at home will dictate how they heal. Pigment retention depends on your aftercare and your skin type.

What can I expect my brows to look like during the healing process?

After any brow procedure, the brows will appear dark the first few days. In addition, the first few hours they can appear red all around the brow. This is normal and only lasts a few hours. The brows may feel sensitive therefore you must avoid touching them. In most cases the brows will start to scab off in sections by day 8-10. The scabbing, for most people, is minimal unless you get the shading technique. Bleeding during the procedure also causes more scabbing. However, this process should last between 7-10 days. Clients who heal slower may experience scabbing for a longer period of time. Everyone is different. The pigment will heal approximately 20-30% lighter.

What method of payment do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards, Zelle, and cash payments.

Questions about Brows

What is Microblading?

Microblading is the most natural form of permanent makeup. This procedure uses a small blade that is used to draw hairlike strokes while implanting pigment into your brow. This procedure does NOT replace makeup, so it will not look like makeup. It will only look like hair. This procedure does require more touchups if you have oily skin. The maintenance on it is about 6-8 months for oily skin, and approximately 12-18 months for clients with dry skin.

What is machine shading?

Machine shading can be added to microblading for a Hybrid Brow. This step is similar to the hand tool shading, except that it is done with a machine for a powder brow finish. This technique takes longer as the shading is done in layers. The brows will initially look dark, but lighten approximately 20% after the scabbing process is done. This is a good option for clients that have oily skin and have had problems retaining microblading alone. This is also a good option, and highly recommended to clients that have an old faded brow tattoo that’s light enough for microblading, but still visible. The results look like makeup on the brows with visible hairstrokes.

What is the difference between Microblading and MicroShading? Is it done the same day?

Microblading is the hairstrokes that are drawn with a blade. Shading is done with a different hand tool over the hairstrokes to add density. Most clients get the shading the same day as their microblading. Shading is done with the purpose of making the brows look fuller and darker. If you are going for the makeup look or simply want to cover an old faded tattoo, then shading is a good option. This is a good option for clients who have oily skin. The maintenance on it about 12-18 months on clients with oily skin.

What is Ombre Powder Brow?

The Ombre Powder Brow is an option for clients that want to wake up with the makeup look. Do not get this confused with the old school brow tattoos. This technique is a powder brow because of the needle configuration and hand technique used with the machine. It is done in a layering process which allows it to heal like powder. Coverups and corrections are possible with this technique, however it may require more than two sessions. A consultation is required for clients with previous brow tattoos that are still visible and have changed to a gray, blue, pink, purple, green, or red color. The ombre look is achieved by leaving the fronts of the brows lighter and a gradient density from the arch down to the tail.

Can I get Microblading over an old brow tattoo?

A consultation is required prior to booking a microblading procedure if you have an old brow tattoo.  If your old brow tattoo has faded and is barely visible, yes, you MAY be able to get microblading over it. However, not until seen in person can that be determined. Someone who has a faded tattoo will be advised to get shading over the hairstrokes, or even a powder brow if the old color is still visible. Additional touchups may be required for clients that have an old brow tattoo. Some clients are referred to our Tattoo Removal Department to lighten their brow tattoo before redoing their brows. Having a realistic expectation of the procedure selected is important.

Does the procedure hurt?

For most, the procedure is painless. Most of our clients fall asleep during the procedure, but that has to do with the way we numb the brows. We keep our clients comfortable throughout the procedure if there is some kind of discomfort. However, everyone is different  and other factors can affect how well your body accepts the anesthesia. Following the prep info that is emailed once your appointment is booked, is very important.
